Culvert removal

In preparation of the Placer County work coming this summer, John Briggs organized and managed this project to remove a culvert that had washed off the trail and was no longer functional.

A little creative winching, carefully cutting it in to manageable pieces and shoveling out the dirt, lead to a pretty quick work day.

A quick water bar was installed in order to get the water to track across the trail. Again, it will need to be hardened by Placer County this summer.
