Trail Work Tahoma Side Going on NOW

FYI – Anyone that may be on Tahoma side of the Rubicon Trail the week of Oct 5.

Starting Monday Oct 5, the Tahoe NF will be placing 6-9 inch fractured rock in depression spots on the Rubicon Trail that seasonally flood (upper flat and wet stretch from the Miller Lake area and west). We have done this same maintenance action 2 times in the past 6 or so years. There will be temporary delays as the articulating truck dumps the rock and a D5 dozer spreads it. I just now received the confirmation of the availability of the articulating truck, thus the short notice. We anticipate finishing the project in 3 to 4 days. Please spread the word.
